Pumpkin Meat Biryani | pakistan india dish |
2 cups basmati rice
500g meat (chicken, beef, or lamb)
1 cup pumpkin, diced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 cup yogurt
Salt, to taste
4 teaspoons oil
Instructions:
Wash and soak the rice in water.
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
Add the meat and sauté until browned.
Add pumpkin, tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
Add yogurt and cook until the meat is tender.
Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan with water. Cook until the rice is done.
Serve hot.
