Carrot halwa served in a bowl |
Carrots 500 grams
Milk 1 liter
Sugar 1/2 cup
Ghee 4 tablespoons
Cashews and Almonds (chopped) 2 tablespoons
Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
Raisins and Coconut (optional) for garnishing
Method:
Peel and grate the carrots.
In a pan, heat milk and add grated carrots.
Cook until the milk evaporates, then add sugar and ghee.
Continue cooking the carrot mixture until the carrots are fully cooked and the ghee separates.
Add cardamom powder and dry fruits, mix well.
Carrot halwa is ready, transfer it to a serving dish and garnish with raisins and coconut.
