Ingredients:
Traditional Potato Cutlets Recipe
4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 onion, finely chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round patties or tikkis.
Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tikkis in the skillet. Cook until the bottom side is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown and crisp.
Remove the cooked tikkis from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
